Topeka, KS : Topeka man injured in car accident on I-70 on Thursday, 23rd January, 2020
A Topeka man suffered suspected minor injuries Thursday night after his car spun out on Interstate 70, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash report.In addition, Lawrence police worked 10 accidents from 10:45 p.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday, department spokesman Patrick Compton said via email.
Todd Sossoman, 51, of Topeka, was passing another vehicle while heading eastbound on snow-covered I-70 in his Chevy Malibu around 10:55 p.m. Thursday, according to the KHP report. He lost control over the crest of a hill near mile marker 198 in Douglas County, spun out, left the road into the south ditch and struck an embankment, the report says.
Sossoman was taken to Stormont Vail hospital in Topeka, according to the report. He was wearing his seat belt, the report says.
