Police released the names of the two motorcyclists from Indiana who died Saturday after colliding with a car in Oronoko Township.
The motorcyclists, who were pronounced dead at the scene of a crash at about 5:30 p.m., were David Allen Cox, 46, and Christine Marie Cox, 45, both of Granger, Ind., according to Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Police Chief Paul Toliver.
The motorcycle was eastbound on Shawnee Road approaching the intersection with Garr Road when it collided with a car at about 5:30 p.m.
The car, driven by a 79-year-old Buchanan man, was westbound on Shawnee Road and attempted a left turn onto Garr Road.
The driver of the car was not injured. Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Police Department, Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Fire Department, Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit and Medic 1 Ambulance responded to the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. Further information will be released after confirming data and evidence is processed and reviewed.
