ARKANSAS CITY, KS : Arkansas City man arrested for DUI after crashing into home on Wednesday, 3rd July 2024

One person has been arrested in Arkansas City following a DUI crash into a home on Wednesday night.

The Arkansas City Police Department says officers were called to the intersection of north 2nd Street and Kansas Avenue on Wednesday just before 10 p.m. to the report of a crash. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that a vehicle had gone through the stop sign at the intersection and collided with a home.

The driver, identified as 22-year-old Anthony Perez-Hernandez, showed signs of alcohol impairment, police say. Officers administered field sobriety tests furthering clues of impairment.
