Richmond, VA : A 24-year-old Henrico man was killed following an apparent hit-and-run crash on April, Sunday 23rd 2017
A 24-year-old Henrico man was killed following an apparent hit-and-run crash Sunday night.
Police found Emmanuel Isaiah DeJesus lying by the side of the road after responding to the area of Patterson Avenue and Palace Way around 10:25 p.m., said Henrico Police Lt. Chris Garrett.
Police said Tuesday they have identified the driver involved in the crash, and no charges have been filed yet. The wreck remains under investigation, and police will be speaking with prosecutors about any potential charges, Garrett said.
DeJesus was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, Garrett said. The man's injuries were consistent with being hit by a vehicle, so police are investigating the case as a hit-and-run incident, Garrett said.
Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Henrico Police at (804) 501-5000 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “iTip” followed by their tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
