Bridport, VT : Truck dumps crushed car load in Bridport crash Wednesday morning on August 13, 2014

Crushed cars weighing in at 96,000 pounds spilled out of a truck after a crash Wednesday morning in Bridport. It happened just north of the sharp curve near the Blue Spruce Farm on Route 22A. State police say Randy Bennett, 48, was headed south when he lost control of his big rig on the rain-slickened highway. The truck went off the west side of the road and over-turned, dumping its load of crushed cars. Bennett was not hurt, but cleanup of the crash site took several hours.
