Paicines, CA : Hollister woman killed in a car crash on Thursday, December 25, 2015

A 78-year-old Hollister woman died in a car crash Christmas Day in the Paicines area.
The accident was reported at 4:25 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 29000 block of Airline Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol in a statement released Monday. The unidentified woman—the sheriff's office could not be reached immediately Monday to confirm it—was driving a 1996 Chevrolet at the time of the accident.
The CHP reported that the vehicle rolled backward in an easterly direction and pinned the woman's vehicle against a steel gate. The woman died at the scene. The CHP ruled it as an ongoing investigation.
