Two people in another vehicle were killed when a driver went through a stop sign, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened at US 42 and State Route 302 in Jackson Township, Ashland County around 7:42 p.m. Tuesday.
A 37-year-old Michigan resident was at the wheel of the car that failed to stop and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to authorities.
The car hit a minivan carrying four people and both vehicles went off the road and into a yard.
Loretta Meacham, 77, of Bellevue, and Autumn Meacham, 25, of West Salem, were both killed. They were passengers in the minivan.
Josh Moor, the driver of the minivan, and a juvenile passenger were taken to Ashland Samaritan Hospital with unspecified injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the juvenile was in a booster seat, but the rest of the people in the minivan were not wearing seat belts.
