Mauston, WI : Early morning Interstate crash kills one near Mauston on September 9, 2014

An Illinois man was killed early Tuesday in a single-car crash on Interstate 90/94 in Juneau County. The crash happened at about 3 a.m. at mile marker 73 about four miles east of Mauston, the State Patrol said in a news release. Sid Williams, 45, was killed and passenger Harry Lundy, 33, also of Illinois, was injured, the release said. The State Patrol said Williams was driving a 1995 Camaro west on the interstate when the car went onto the median shoulder and struck the end of a guardrail, spinning around and coming to a stop facing east. Agencies working at the scene included the Juneau County Sheriff's Office and Highway Department, the Mauston Police and Fire Departments and Mauston Ambulance.
