MAYES COUNTY, OK : 3-semi crash impacts traffic near Adair on Thursday, 27th April 2023

Lanes on Interstate 44 on the Will Rogers Turnpike near Adair were closed for hours Thursday morning after a crash involving at least one semi.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Trooper Jake Johnson said at least one semi hit the center median wall.

"When it hit the wall, the center wall went into the eastbound lanes. Multiple different cars had to avoid it and struck the barrier wall and the inside lane of traffic," said Johnson.

A semi was seen toppled over and engulfed in flames on the side of the road.
