Warsaw, IN : One killed, 3 seriously injured in crash in Kosciusko County Friday morning, June 17, 2016
One person is dead and three more were seriously injured in a crash in Kosciusko County Friday morning.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, emergency responders were called around 8:50 a.m. to the intersection of County Farm Road and County Road 600 South.
Investigators determined a car driven by Reuben Jesse Delion, 22, of Warsaw was headed west on CR 600 S. Witnesses told police his car appeared to stop at the intersection before suddenly continuing into the path of another car.
EMS and fire personnel arrived after the crash and extracted the passengers in Delion’s car. The three passengers, Brady L. Shepherd, 25, of Claypool, Latasha Sue Ibarra, 23, of Warsaw and Madison C. May, 18, of Warsaw were transported to a hospital in Fort Wayne in serious condition. Delion, however, was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s office.
The driver of the second car, Nathan Jay Denna, 18, of Claypool was transported to an area hospital in fair condition with chest pain.
The Kosciusko County F.A.C.T. Team was assisted at the scene by members of the Claypool Fire Department, Warsaw Wayne Township Fire Territory, Lutheran Kosciusko E.M.S., Parkview Samaritan, Lutheran Air, Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office, Indiana State Police, and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
