Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:03 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, on Highway 6, north of Remer.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported a Chevrolet Suburban was traveling north on Highway 6 and a Ford F-150 was traveling south, when the Ford crossed over the centerline and sideswiped the Suburban. Both vehicles went into the south ditch.James D. Ruyak, 84, Remer, the driver of the Ford, and David J. Gatzmeyer, 56, Atwater, both had non-life-threatening injuries. Ruyak was transported to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth and Gatzmeyer was transported to a hospital in Deer River.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
