Driver dies in crash with school bus near Newton Georgia

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a school bus.The crash happened on Highway 36 in Newton County on Friday afternoon. The GSP said the bus crashed into a car, and the car driver died.

There were no reports of injuries involving children, the GSP said.A Newton County School representative said the bus was transporting students from Indian Creek Middle School to their homes.

The head-on collision happened on Moore’s Road and Hwy 36, the representative said.
