COLUMBIA, TN : One person was killed in a head-on collision in Maury County on Monday, July 17, 2017

One person was killed in a head-on collision in Maury County on Monday morning.

A minivan and a truck crashed at the intersection of Old TVA Road and New Highway 7 around 5:15 a.m.

The Maury County Fire Department found two people trapped inside the minivan when they responded to the crash.

The driver of the minivan died at the scene. A passenger was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.

Three people were transported from the truck to Maury Regional Center. They are all in stable condition.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims.
