Anderson County ,SC :Clemson student killed in Anderson Co. crash on Early Sunday Morning ,July 26th 2015
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said one person was killed in a collision early Sunday morning.
Troopers said the crash occurred on US-76 at Woodburn Road around 2:45 a.m.
Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne said the driver of a 2002 Jeep Liberty was traveling east on US-76 when they ran off the right side of the road, lost control and struck a tree.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and succumbed to injuries at the scene, Rhyne said.
Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore identified the driver as 21-year-old Samuel Joseph Cadden of Virginia.
Cadden was a rising junior at Clemson University where he was majoring in financial management and Sigma Chi fraternity member, according to a university spokesman.
Shore said officers discovered the wreckage around 9:30 a.m.
