Acton, MA : One person dead, one injured after a major crash in Acton on Tuesday, May 17, 2016

Police are investigating after a major crash in Acton leaves one person dead and another injured.

According to police, the driver, Deeiyvid Hoepers, 35, was driving with his 39-year-old wife Shannon Milhomme-Hoepers when the car veered off the road.

The car struck a wall, then telephone pole and ended up in a driveway against a parked car on Central Street.

The Hoepers was airlifted by Med Flight to Boston Medical Center.

Milhomme-Hoepers was taken by ambulance to Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The car was smashed in and the pole was knocked down in the middle of the road.

Debris was scattered through the street, and investigators had the road taped off as they worked.

Officials say speed and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction team were called in to assist in the investigation.
