AUSTIN, TX : 1 dead after 18-wheeler crashes into Texas DPS building on Friday, 12th April 2024

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported one person died and others were seriously injured after a stolen 18-wheeler crashed into a DPS office in Brenham Friday.

The department said law enforcement was in pursuit of the stolen vehicle when it went into the building.

DPS said the Texas Rangers are investigating the incident, and a suspect has been arrested.

The suspect was identified as 42-year-old Clenard Parker, and according to DPS, he was at the Brenham office Thursday and was denied a renewal for his commercial driver’s license.
