BARTLETT, TX : A head-on accident on State Highway 95 on Sunday, January, 21st 2018
Two Central Texas men — one from Bartlett and another from Temple — died just before 6 p.m. Sunday in a head-on accident on State Highway 95.
Hubert Jude Klepac, 44, of Bartlett, and Micah Nathaniel Millican, 21, of Temple, were both killed in the accident about three miles south of Bartlett.
Three people, including Klepac’s wife, Jennifer, an 8-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter, were all in serious condition after the accident, the Texas Department of Public Safety said Monday.
Jennifer Klepac was taken to Scott & White Medical Center-Temple, and the children were transported to Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center, DPS Sgt. Robbie Barrera said Monday.
No updated information on their conditions was available Monday from hospital spokesman Deke Jones.
A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at New Corn Hill for the Klepac family.
Millican was a Temple High School student who graduated in 2015. He participated in football and baseball, Temple Independent School District spokesman Matthew LeBlanc said Monday.
DPS is investigating the cause of the head-on accident. Millican’s 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, headed southbound on SH 95, crossed the center lines into the northbound lane and hit Klepac’s 2001 Dodge 1500 that was headed northbound, Barrera said.
SH 95 was closed in both directions for several hours.
