Plant City , FL : 37- Years old Avimael Hernandez-Sargento killed after Multi Vehicle Crash along Westbound SR 60 on Friday night ,May 8th 2015

The Florida Highway Patrol investigated a multi-car fatal wrong-way crash on State Road 60 near Plant City Friday night.

According to FHP, Avimael Hernandez-Sargento, 37, of Lake Worth, was driving his GMC Sierra going east on westbound SR-60 near the intersection with Bugg Road.

Luis Aneudis Diaz, 34 of Valrico, was headed west, his Mitsubishi Galant was on the inside lane. Jonathan Molina, 24, of Lakeland, was behind him on his Mazda RX and a semi tractor trailer, driven by Ubeline Rivera, 51, of Tampa, was next to the Mazda in the outside lane.

Diaz saw the GMC and swerved to the right to avoid the collision. The GMC hit the Galant on the left and struck the Mazda head-on. The Mazda rotated on impact and hit the left side of the semi. Molina was thrown out of the car. He was not wearing a seat belt according to the FHP.

He was taken to the Tampa General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

State Road 60 was shut down for a few hours in both directions in Plant City following the crash.
