Alabama, N.Y : Batavia woman killed in Route 77 crash on Monday afternoon, March 6, 2017

One person was killed and three others injured in a one-car crash Monday afternoon in the town of Alabama.
A 2003 Dodge Caravan was traveling northbound on Route 77 when the 40-year-old driver “had a medical event,” causing the van to leave the road, hitting a tree head-on, according to a press release from New York State Police.
Karen Mann, 56, of Batavia, who was a backseat passenger, was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to State Police.
One passenger was Mercy-flighted to Strong and two others were taken to Strong by Mercy ambulance, though State Police say all had only minor injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
