MEMPHIS, TN : Pedestrian critical after crash on Yale Road on Saturday, 29th October 2016

A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle in the 4200 block of Yale Road Saturday night.

Police said the accident happened just before 9 p.m.

Investigators said the victim was in the roadway in front of his house when he was hit by the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle told officers she was driving on Yale Road when she heard a noise. She then pulled into a parking lot to investigate and noticed damage to her vehicle.

Police said the driver then returned to the scene and told officers she did not see the victim in the roadway.

The victim was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

No charges were filed against the driver.
