Edina, MO : Shelbina teen injured in crash in Knox County early Sunday, July 24, 2016

A Shelbina teen was injured in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday in Knox County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Trey A. Roush, 17, was traveling east on Mo. 6 at 6 a.m. and was two miles west of Edina when the 1996 Dodge Dakota he was driving ran off the left side of the road, returned to the road and then ran off the right side of the road, where it struck an embankment, overturned and came to rest on its side.

Police said Roush was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville by the Knox County Ambulance Service with moderate injuries. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt. His vehicle was a total loss and had to be towed from the scene, police said.

The Knox County Sheriff's Department and Knox County First Responders assisted at the scene.
