Baton Rouge, LA : Two people killed in single vehicle crash on Saturday August 8th 2015

Louisiana State Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that killed two people in East Feliciana Parish.
State Police say the crash happened just before 4 a.m. Saturday on LA 19 north of LA 956.
After an initial investigation, State Troopers say the driver, 26-year-old Tasha Whitfield of Jackson, LA, was driving northbound on LA 19 when for unknown reasons, her vehicle crossed the center line and went off the side of the road. The vehicle then struck a concrete abutment causing it to catch fire with Whitfield and a passenger, 41-year-old Joyce Williams of Clinton, LA, still inside.
Both Whitfield and Williams were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third passenger sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was taken to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
