North Pekin woman dies in motorcycle crash

A 56-year-old North Pekin woman was killed and two other people were injured in a traffic accident Friday afternoon, Tazewell County authorities announced Saturday.Donna J. Burroughs and Michael D. Boddie, 57, of North Pekin, both riding motorcycles, had slowed down to avoid farm equipment on the road when Lois A. Keedy, 67, also of North Pekin, struck Burroughs’s motorcycle from behind. Burroughs then collided with Boddie, according to the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office.Burroughs was pronounced dead about 4:30 p.m. at the scene of the accident at the intersection of California Road and Edgewater Drive in rural Pekin
