Columbus, OH : Cambridge traffic stop, crash leads to four arrests on Thursday, December 1st, 2016
Cambridge police officers searching a vehicle on the city's North Side early Thursday morning escaped uninjured when a passing motorist crashed her vehicle into a parked vehicle just yards from police.
The driver of the vehicle, Stephanie A. McElfresh, 27, Caldwell, was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence and failure to maintain assure clear distance ahead following the crash at approximately 12:19 a.m.
Felony charges are also pending against McElfresh after suspected illegal narcotics were found in her possession.
Officers also took three individuals into custody from the vehicle they were searching and one remained incarcerated in the Guernsey County Jail as of press time.
Police reportedly took the driver Sandra A. Winland, 40, Cambridge; Mervin R. Winland, 42, Cambridge; and Garrette R. Henderson, 49, Cambridge, into custody following the traffic stop.
