ADDISON, MI : Hudson man arrested after crash on Monday, January 23rd 2017
A Hudson man was arrested Jan. 23 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after crashing his car into a tree in Addison.
Jeffrey E. Derby, 64, was driving north on Lake Street near Mason Street at 7:10 p.m. when he drove straight through a curve and struck a tree, damaging the vehicle, according to a report released Wednesday by the Lenawee County Sheriff's Department.
According to the report, Derby then continued driving before coming to a stop in a business parking lot. His blood-alcohol content measured 0.16, twice the state's legal limit.
Derby was booked at the Lenawee County Jail. He also was cited for driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a crash and driving with a suspended license.
