Hales Corners,WI : 13-year-old hurt in Hales Corners hit-and-run on October, Monday 16th 2017

A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized after a Monday night hit-and-run crash.

Hales Corners police said the teen was riding his bike on South 108th Street near College Avenue when the vehicle hit him from behind. Police said the driver then left the scene.

"I got hit, and I went flying. I was like too much in shock to be crying, so I just started screaming and asking for someone to help," Brady Evans said.

Brady said he normally wears a helmet but forgot this time.

"I strongly believe he had a protective angel watching over him," Brady's father, Brian Evans, said.

Brady has a broken shoulder and may need surgery.

Police asked anyone with information about the crash to contact the Hales Corners Police Department.
