Hollywood , FL : Driver of the smaller vehicle was taken to hospital after tractor trailer and sedan crash along interstate 95 on Monday afternoon, January 19th 2015

A tractor trailer and sedan were involved in a severe accident on Interstate 95 Monday afternoon.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of the smaller vehicle was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with serious injuries after the vehicle was T-boned near Pembroke Road in Hollywood.

The accident forced the closure of all southbound lanes of the expressway, causing a severe traffic jam. All lanes were forced to exit on Hollywood Boulevard.

The southbound lanes reopened shortly after 6 p.m.
