Lincoln,NE : South Dakota teen killed when car strikes tree in Antelope County on July, Monday 17th 2017

A 16-year-old from South Dakota was fatally injured when the car he was driving skidded into a ditch, rolled and hit a tree early Monday in northeast Nebraska’s Antelope County, the sheriff’s office there said.

The teen, who was not identified, was flown by medical helicopter to Faith Regional Center in Norfolk, where he died, the Antelope County Sheriff’s Office said.


The collision reported about 6 a.m. on Nebraska Highway 14 southwest of Brunswick and north of Neligh caused the driver to be thrown from the car, a beige 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix. There was no word on whether he had been using a seat belt.
