Las Vegas, NV : One man dead in single-vehicle crash fiery rollover crash on Thursday December 31 2015.
Speed is believed to have been a factor in a fiery rollover crash that left two Las Vegas men dead Thursday night, the Nevada Highway Patrol said Friday.
The NHP was called just after 10 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 15, approaching the Craig Road off-ramp, the agency wrote in a release.
Investigators think a 22-year-old man driving a black 2010 Nissan 370Z was in the right lane when he made an unsafe lane change to the left and lost control of the vehicle.
The Nissan spun counterclockwise, struck the median and swerved back to the right, crossing all lanes before it rolled onto its roof on the shoulder of the freeway and caught fire.
Speed is considered to have played a factor," the NHP release said.
The driver and his 24-year-old passenger, both from Las Vegas, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Both men will be identified by the Clark County coroner's office after their families have been notified.
