Fontana, CA : Young man dies in crash near I-15/1-10 interchange on Thursday, 25th August, 2016

A 19-year-old man died in a two-vehicle collision near the Interstate 15/Interstate 10 interchange on the morning of Thursday, Aug. 25, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Division.
At 3:14 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received a 911 call regarding an unwitnessed collision on the south shoulder of eastbound I-10 about 450 feet east of the northbound I-15 overpass.
Gerardo Malibran, Jr., a resident of Colton, was driving his 2002 Chevrolet pickup within the No. 4 lane at an unknown speed, the CHP said. Meanwhile, a 2014 Volvo tractor truck was parked on the right shoulder.
Due to circumstances still under investigation, the Chevrolet drifted onto the shoulder and struck the rear of the Volvo.
Malibran was pronounced deceased at the scene at 3:28 a.m. by Ontario Fire Department personnel.
There were no reports of any other injuries.
