FREEPORT, ME : Crash on I-295 in Freeport causes heavy traffic during morning commute on Wednesday, 6th December 2023

The Wednesday morning commute was disrupted for many people traveling southbound on Interstate 295 through the Freeport area.

A Freeport public safety dispatcher told NEWS CENTER Maine the heavy traffic was due to a crash in the area of Exit 20.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss described the crash as a "fender bender" and said nobody was injured.
