RENO, NV : Vehicle crashes into church building on Monday morning July 21st 2014

An area church sustained significant damage after a car slammed into the front of its building Monday morning.

A sedan drove into The Church of the America's on Wrondel way and Hubbard way just before 6 a.m. Investigators aren't sure yet what caused the driver to lose control and hit the church. The driver sustained minor injuries in the crash, and the passenger in the vehicle ran away before police arrived, according to the Reno Police Department.

No arrests have been made.

Officials responded to a vehicle that crashed into church on Wrondel Way and Hubbard Way early Monday morning.

Two males were occupying the vehicle, according to RPD Watch Commander Lieutenant Rafaqatwatch. No further information is available at this time.
