Five people, including three children, were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Marshall County late Monday afternoon.
First responders were called just after 3:35 p.m. to the intersection of US-6 and Quince Road.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a Chevy Silverado, driven by a 34-year-old Walkerton woman, was stopped on US-6 and waiting to turn south onto Quince Road when a GMC Terrain, driven by a 38-year-old Walkerton woman, failed to yield to the stopped Silverado and rear-ended it.
Police say the collision pushed the Silverado into another Silverado being driven by a 62-year-old Walkerton man.
We still know the extent of the injuries for the two adults and three children who were taken to the hospital.
The intersection was closed temporarily while crews cleared the scene.
