PHOENIX, AZ : Busy Mesa intersection reopens after crash leaves man seriously injured on Tuesday, 5th September 2023

A busy Mesa intersection has reopened hours after a car-pedestrian crash early Tuesday morning.

While details are limited, Mesa police and fire crews were called out to the area of Recker Road and Main Street around 6 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man seriously injured by a car. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Details surrounding the collision have not been released, but video from the scene crews centered around a silver Ford Mustang. Detectives are still working to determine what led up to the crash.
