Poulsbo, WA : Skateboarder killed when struck by pickup truck on Lincoln Road Thursday night, July 14, 2016
The Kitsap County Coroner’s Office identified a skateboarder struck and killed by a truck Thursday night on Lincoln Road as Bradley Michael Seelye of Poulsbo.
Seelye, 34, was riding a skateboard in the roadway near Big Rock Lane shortly before 10 p.m. when he was hit by a 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup driven by a 26-year-old North Kitsap man, according to Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office. Seelye died before aid crews arrived.
The truck had crested Lincoln Road heading eastbound when it struck Seelye, who was in the right lane of travel headed the same direction.
There was no indication the driver of the truck was impaired or speeding, and the driver was interviewed at the scene and released, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The coroner’s office classified the death as accidental.
