HARRISVILLE, UT : 29-year-old killed in auto-pedestrian crash in Harrisville on Wednesday, 21st November 2018

A northern Utah woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash Wednesday night in Harrisville.

Police say 29-year-old Harrisville resident Brittany Zoller was hit by a car just before 10 p.m. and later died, according to Sgt. Mark Wilson of the Harrisville Police Department.

Zoller tried to cross the road near 1150 N. Highway 89 in Harrisville when she was struck by a vehicle. She was not in a crosswalk or near an intersection when she was hit, Wilson said.

Police believe alcohol or drugs may have been a factor as to why Zoller was in the roadway, Wilson said.

The driver who hit Zoller remained on scene after the crash.

Wilson said the crash is still under investigation by Harrisville police.
