Pasadena, TX : One man killed in a head-on collision on Katy Freeway on Sunday, November 6, 2016

One man was killed in a head-on collision on Katy Freeway in a fiery overnight wreck.

"There was a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes and it struck another vehicle head on," a police spokesman said Sunday.

When the two collided just before 1:30 a.m., the wrong-way driver's car burst into flames immediately. He died at the scene, authorities said.

The driver of the other car was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
