Greensboro, NC : Tractor-trailer driver killed when rig overturns on exit ramp on I-73 on early wednesday morning July 2nd 2014

The N.C. Highway Patrol says the driver of a tractor-trailer was killed when his rig overturned on an exit ramp.

Troopers say the wreck occurred around 3 a.m. on an exit ramp off Interstate 73 south to get onto Interstate 85 business.

The truck driver's identity is being withheld until his family is notified.

According to the patrol, the truck was carrying boxes filled with household items. Troopers say the ramp will be closed for several hours until crews can transfer the items onto another truck.
