Lagrange Township, WI : 27 year old Robert Olson died in One-car Fatal crash in Walworth County on Saturday, July 2, 2016

According to a release from Walworth County Sheriff's Office, at12:02 AM, Walworth County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Town of LaGrange Fire and Rescue Units were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Hwy H near Bluff Road in LaGrange Township, Walworth County, Wisconsin.

Deputies discovered a gray 2008 Nissan crashed against a large tree. The vehicle was traveling southbound on Hwy H when it lost control striking the tree.

The driver, who was the only occupant, was trapped in the vehicle and deputies attempted life saving measures. Fire and Rescue Units were able to extricate the driver, but he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office. He was identified as 27 year old Robert Olson from Whitewater, WI.

Witnesses told deputies that Olson had just left work in Eagle, WI and was headed home. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor. The investigation of this crash remains open and ongoing.

The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Town of LaGrange Fire Department, City of Whitewater Police Department, and the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.
