LAPEER COUNTY, MI : 14-year-old dead after UTV crash in Otter Lake on Sunday, 4th August 2024

A teen has died from their injuries after an off-road vehicle crash over the weekend.

The Lapeer County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 3rd at a private residence on Klam Road in Otter Lake.

Police say the UTV was operated by a pair of brothers, a 14-year-old and an 11-year-old.

According to police, the 11-year-old was driving a tall vegetation when brush lifted the front of the vehicle, cause it to roll.

The 14-year-old became trapped on the ground under the vehicle's metal roof.
