BUTLER COUNTY, MO : Poplar Bluff woman killed in hit-and-run crash on MO 53 on Monday, 4th February 2019

A Poplar Bluff, Missouri woman is dead after a crash on Monday, Feb. 4.
According to a crash report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 7:39 p.m. on MO 53 south of Poplar Bluff.
Officials said an unknown driver headed north ran off the left side of the roadway and hit 23-year-old Wendy L. Dumas. The driver left the scene.
Dumas was pronounced dead at an area medical center at 9:55 p.m. by a doctor at the center.
Her next of kin has been notified.
