Spartanburg, SC : 21-year-old Ryan Thomas Chavez dies after being hit by car on Warren Abernathy Highway on Tuesday, March 3, 2015

The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office said a man has died after being hit by a car on Warren Abernathy Highway on March 3.

The coroner's office said the crash happened Tuesday around 7:20 p.m. in front of Target.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said 21-year-old Ryan Thomas Chavez died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the incident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the coroner's office are investigating the crash. The Coroner's Investigation remains pending at this time.
