A serious crash with multiple reported injuries closed southbound lanes of Route 9 in Cromwell late Monday night.
The crash occurred at about 10:19 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Route 9 at its interchange with Interstate 91 and emergency crews shut down all of the southbound lanes a few minutes later, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Initial reports indicated one car overturned and that more than occupant of the vehicle was injured, but further details about the injuries or whether more than one car was involved were not immediately late Monday night.
