An 86-year-old Ithaca man is hospitalized while his 80-year-old wife has died as a result of injuries sustained in an afternoon car accident in near Middleton Tuesday.
The man was heading west on Grant Road and was stopped at the stop sign at Ely Highway before he pulled into oncoming traffic, said Gratiot County Sheriff Doug Wright.
