Dallas, TX : Four women died and 19-Year-Old Man Arrested After hit-and-run crash near Webb Chapel Road and Park Lane in Northwest Dallas on Saturday night, Sep 5, 2015

Four women were killed when a 19-year-old slammed his pickup into the side of their car Saturday in northwest Dallas, police say.

Officers apprehended the pickup’s driver, Jose Lule, after he tried to flee the accident at Webb Chapel Road and Park Lane.

He was charged with four counts of accident involving death. Police said the crash did not appear to have been alcohol-related.

The Mineral Wells man was driving north about 9:30 p.m. on Webb Chapel when his truck collided with the victims’ car, police said. The truck hit the driver’s side of the car, which was pushed into a utility pole.

The four women in the car died at the scene.

Their names had not been released, but police listed their ages as 38, 42, 55 and 65.

The four women were related and attended a Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall near where the accident occurred, KDFW-TV (Channel 4) reported. The hall’s elder said the women went door-to-door to share their faith.

The women’s names had not been released because their relatives in California had not been notified, KDFW said.

Police said three other people in Lule’s truck also ran away after the accident, but they were all caught nearby.

No details were provided about their identities or any charges they might face.

Police did not release further details about Lule, whose Facebook profile indicates he graduated from Mineral Wells High School this year.

His family could not be reached for comment.
