Panama City, FL : Three injured in a Tractor-car-truck collision in Bay County on Friday afternoon, February 10, 2017
Three people, including a pedestrian, sustained minor injuries from a vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Bay County.
The collision occurred about 6:30 p.m. Friday at Old Bicycle Road and Seamens Lane involving three vehicles, one of them a tractor trailer, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Robert Downing, from Donalsonville, Ga., was driving the trailer in reverse going south when a Honda Civic driven by Steven Abner, from Younsgtown, collided with it, FHP reported. Abner was traveling east on Old Bicycle Road and didn't see Downing, who reportedly did not have his lights on.
Two pedestrians, Taylor Johnson from Panama City and Nicole Kolbe from Navarre, were struck by a third vehicle — a Ford F-150 driven by Jack Bright, 71, of Panama City — when they went to help Abner. Bright's truck then collided with Abner's Civic.
Abner, Bright and Johnson had minor injuries; everyone else was unharmed. The wreck resulted in charges of improper backing, driving without lights and careless driving, according to FHP.
