SEYMOUR, CT : Man dies in motorcycle crash on Route 67 Seymour on Sunday, 11th August 2019

A man died Sunday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Route 67.

The man, who police did not identify, was riding northbound on North Street in Seymour at about 2:15 p.m. Sunday when he collided with a car that a woman was driving west on Route 67, Seymour police Deputy Chief Roberto Rinaldi said in a news release.

Emergency personnel found him injured at the scene, and he later died at a local hospital.

The woman driving the car was not injured, but was taken to the hospital for evaluation. There were no passengers in the car.

Police closed Route 67 for several hours and diverted traffic from the intersection, the location of two gas stations and several businesses and restaurants, while they investigated the crash.
