Duval County, FL : Nine people injured in multi-vehicle crash on Beach Blvd. on Monday morning, July 27, 2015

A multi-vehicle crash on Monday morning injured nine people on Jacksonville’s Southside.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to Beach Boulevard at Interstate 295.

The crash happened when a driver of a van, carrying seven people, was exiting I-295 to get onto Beach Boulevard. The van’s brakes gave way and slammed into two other vehicles, according to officials.
Officials said five people in the van were hurt and four were hurt in a Ford pickup truck.
The I-295 southbound ramp is closed. It is unknown when it’ll open to travelers.
