Monett,MO: One hurt in 2-vehicle crash on Hwy. 60 in Monett on November, Wednesday 1st 2017
One person was hurt and two vehicles received major damage in a collision at Highway 60 and Bridle Lane on Wednesday in Monett.
According to Monett Police, Thelma Latshaw, 65, of rural Monett, was driving a 2004 Toyota SUV east on Highway 60 at 9:18 a.m. when she approached the intersection at Bridle Lane.
Witnesses said the light went solid red, but Latshaw proceeded into the intersection and struck broadside a 2007 Ford pickup, driven by Mica Plummer, 60, of Wentworth.
Both drivers wore seatbelts. Latshaw received injuries and was transported by Barry-Lawrence Ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital for treatment.
Officer Brian Brown worked the scene. City firemen helped with traffic control and debris cleanup.
Latshaw received a summons to municipal court for failure to stop at a red light.
