KANSAS CITY, MO : Fatal rollover crash on I-70 caused by speeding driver on Saturday, 1st June 2024

A driver was speeding east on I-70 Saturday night when they hit three cars driving in the same direction, causing a fatal crash.

The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on eastbound I-70 at Manchester Trafficway.

According to KCPD, a gold Chevrolet Equinox was speeding when it hit a black Ford Expedition, causing the Expedition to slide and overturn. The Expedition rolled over the top of a black Toyota Camry and down an embankment.

The Expedition’s only occupant, the driver, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected onto the shoulder of the highway. They were later pronounced dead at the scene.
